Our Story – Flame Broiler Is Dedicated To Serving You with Delicious, Fast, And Healthy Food!
Founder -Young Lee, who had recently completed UCLA using a degree in economics, had joined the workforce and often found himself on the road. However, he discovered that restaurants serving healthy meals were few and far between.
First Restaurant Opens – Entrepreneurial in nature, in 1995 he opened the initial restaurant in Orange County that served simple, healthy fast food. What better way to solve an issue than to solve it yourself?
Started Franchising – Word regarding the healthy food and quick service at Flame Broiler Catering Menu, and Young quickly became extremely busy. He created a very broad customer base. The widely loved concept appealed to many different people.
Giving Back towards the Community – Mr. Lee began to give back by feeding the homeless, and shortly began to sponsor children in need. He is committed to sponsoring 2 children per location that opens. Today, through Flame Broiler Inc., Mr. Lee sponsors an astounding 338 children.
180 Locations & Growing – Words continued to spread, and the founder saw franchising in an effort to provide even more and more people using a healthy substitute for fast food while maintaining the high degree of service. And so the story continues today with 180 Flame Broiler Restaurants in California, Arizona, Florida, Nevada and Oklahoma.
The Flame Broiler is really a fast food restaurant marketed as being a healthy food and quick provider. As you could imagine, The Flame Broiler charges are just a little higher, which is often the common characteristic amongst the healthier fast food restaurants.
The restaurant’s main offerings include bowls which can be either veggie or have meats in it such as beef or chicken. Bowls consist of your choosing of meat poured over white or brown rice, and steamed veggies. Along with bowls, they also offer plates which can be similar except they include fruit and salad on the side.
Flame Broiler has opened a location in La Verne, California, underneath the direction of the first-time franchisee, Josh Fuentes. He’s looking forward to transitioning from previous work with all the Southern California Gas Company to concentrating on Flame Broiler full-time, in accordance with a company press release.
“While employed by my previous company, I used to be always on the road and found not many options which are healthy, taste great and still considered fast food until I used Flame Broiler,” Fuentes said. “I immediately fell deeply in love with how simple, healthy and affordable it is actually, and kept making excuses to travel back. It inspired me to have back into shape, tidy up my diet and help people change their lifestyle exactly the same way I have done.”
Flame Broiler’s core menu features rice bowls that start at just 140 calories. The bowls are created with non-GMO white or brown rice, Angus beef, all-natural chicken or organic charbroiled tofu, freshly blanched vegetables, and busvqj with chopped green onions. To have an added flavor kick, guests are invited to top bowls with Flame Broiler’s proprietary hot sauce, double hot sauce, triple hot sauce or its Korean BBQ-inspired Magic Sauce.
“The Inland Empire has always been a strong region for our brand, and that i know La Verne will be no exception,” said Young Lee, CEO and founder of Flame Broiler. “As being a brand, we’re looking forward to watching Josh grow and creating a stronger presence in the community.”
